Minority's Influence and the Role of Mentality in Social Conflict in Establishing the Institutions of Democracy

چکیده

The area of our research is the phenomenon of social influence process and the role of person's and group's mentality in the conflict. Conflict implies the existence of at least two sides or parties, majority and minority (by its number, territory, resources and etc.). Until now the role of majority in social influence process was mainly studied considering the existing numerous psychological researches on the phenomenon of conformity. There are not a lot of studies on the role and meaning of minority in social influence process. Studying the problem of minority and majority in the social influence process, we came to a conclusion, that interrelation of minority and majority is determined by the characteristics of attitude, which exists between majority and minority. Our researches identified that for the positive attitude is greatly determined by the common backgrounds /similarity/ among the mentality of minority and majority. While working on this problem we discovered the necessity of the mentality investigation.
